About the Faculty

The of Faculty of Finance & Business was established in the academic year 2008–2009. It consists of five departments:

*The Department of Finance and Banking Sciences. And it offers Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking.

*The Department of Administration; a bachelor's degree; a Master's degree; a phD in business administration; and a doctorate in management.

*Accounting Department; a bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and a phD in accounting.

*The Department of Islamic Banking which grants bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and PhD degree in Islamic banks.

*Management Information Systems department that grants a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems.

Vision

The Faculty aspires to be an option for professors, researchers, and students in business disciplines at the global level.

The Faculty provides outstanding educational and research services, spreads human wisdom and knowledge, serves the community, embraces leadership and innovation, and graduates finance and business professionals in bachelor's and postgraduate programs.

Governance

The goal: Institutional excellence, deep governance roots, responsibility, accountability, and strategic leadership leading the faculty to achieve its vision and mission.

The goal: Excellence in education for bachelor's and postgraduate students, application of integrated learning, and introduction of new study programs.

  • • The content of the subjects is compatible with the academic programs offered.
  • • Promoting an academic environment within the faculty in which the educational process is of distinct value.
  • • Developing academic programs and linking them to the outputs of the educational process to make them measurable.
  • • Adapting the study plans and linking them to the educational objectives in line with the requirements of the labor market and modern higher education trends.

Theme: Scientific Research, Creativity and scholarships

The goal: Excellence in scientific research and deepening cooperation in the field of scientific research among faculty members.

  • • Increasing the number of research papers published annually by faculty members and students in journals and conferences indexed in global databases such as (Scopus) and (ISI) Thomson Reuters and related to the latest developments and discoveries in technical fields.
  • • Increasing the number of citations for research published by faculty members in global databases (Scopus).
  • • Conducting research cooperation agreements with international universities to exchange experiences.
  • • Developing students' attitudes toward launching entrepreneurial projects.

Theme: Human and financial resources

The goal: is to attract talented human resources according to the best international practices, developing and enabling them to reach high levels of quality and excellence, and sustainable financial and material resources.

The goal: is to attract outstanding students from inside Jordan and abroad, and to provide a hybrid and attractive learning environment.

  • • Qualifying the pioneering and creative students in the faculty, and developing, nurturing, and qualifying their ideas to be able to compete in the local and global market.
  • • Following up the affairs of graduate students, strengthening relations with them, and maintaining communication with them to serve the faculty and its course.
  • • Re-develop the faculty's infrastructure to effectively provide e-learning services and work to rehabilitate the faculty's service and teaching facilities in an attractive manner.
  • • Building smart computer technologies and systems in the faculty to develop the educational process and facilitate access to information and process it interactively.

Theme: Accreditation and Quality Assurance

The goal: is to distinguish academic and administrative practices in accordance with accreditation standards and control local and global quality.

  • • Constantly spreading the quality culture in the faculty in line with local and international standards.
  • • Providing information and documentation according to local and international quality standards.
  • • Conducting brainstorming meetings with parties involved in accreditation and quality control
  • • Reformulating the way in which the teaching and learning process is conducted in line with the latest e-learning and embedded and presented in a standard format.

Theme: Community Service

The goal: is excellence in community service and enhancement of the role of students and teaching staff in community service

  • • Developing the capabilities of faculty members, administrators, and students in the faculty to serve the local community and encouraging them to provide innovative solutions to problems facing the community.
  • • Spreading the culture of community services in the faculty by adopting sustainable development programs and working to make them an integral part of its culture.
