The faculty was established as one of the seven faculties that the World Islamic Sciences and Education University started with, as studying began in the academic year 2008/2009 .

Excellence, leadership, and relentless pursuit to advance academic work, scientific research and its overall place to excellence locally, regionally, and globally within the framework of the global university vision.

To provide a high, developed and distinguished level of science, knowledge, and scientific research in information technology disciplines through academically distinguished faculty members, armed with science, knowledge, faith, and high professional ethics, to enable its students to excel, belong, and serve the community.

The faculty is looking forward to opening new majors at the bachelor's level and postgraduate studies to keep pace with local, regional and international developments scientifically, and the need of the labor market.
