The department was established under the name of Engineering Office Department on (4/4/2010).

The department aims to be an integrated university in terms of buildings and facilities necessary to meet all the requirements and needs of university students, the administrative, and teaching staff, in a way that ensures that the university completes all the conditions required by the Accreditation Commission. Whereas, the most important tasks and duties carried out by the department can be summarized as follows:

 

• - Execute the buildings, facilities and infrastructure that are in the comprehensive plans for the university’s first and second sites and others, such as King Abdullah II Institute for Training Imams in Al-Yadoudah area.
• - Follow up the preparation of bids and plans for the buildings and infrastructure to be implemented, participate in offering bids, follow up on their implementation, adhere to specifications and plans
• - Follow up and respond to the correspondence of the executing and supervising companies, follow up the financial payments of those companies and approve them, and place amendments and executive details of the works during the implementation period.
• - Follow-up transactions with the official authorities in terms of licensing buildings, connecting electricity, water and sewage lines to the university buildings in the first and second sites
• - Distribute the uses of the available spaces, preparing the necessary plans for them, and supervising their modification by studying the need of furniture for departments and classrooms.
• - Coordinate with the advisory offices working with the university and solving some of the problems encountered during the implementation of projects
• - Calculate quantities, checking prices, and measuring the different quantities and areas implemented by contractors

** Supervising the implementation of many projects at the university in cooperation with consulting offices, the most important of which are:

 

• - The Faculty of Finance and Business building (a workshop)
• - The Faculty of Arts building (a workshop)
• - The new administrative building (a workshop)
• - The new presidency building (a workshop)
• - Sharia Faculty building (a workshop)
• - The Maintenance and Supplies Hangar Building (a workshop)
• - King Abdullah II Institute for Imams Training / Al Yaduda (received)
• - Registration building (a workshop)
• - Main library building (a workshop)
• - Ring road and infrastructure ( implemented)
• - Faculty of Computer and Information Technology building (a workshop)
• - Clinic and cafeteria building next to Sharia (a workshop)
• - Pedestrian bridge (implemented)
• - Amphitheater and sports stadium (implemented)
• - Car parks in front of the main gate of the university and adjacent to the mosque (implemented)
• - Rehabilitation and maintenance of the building of the former Faculty of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion (implemented)
• - Maintenance of firefighting and alarm systems at the university (implemented)
• - Network of buildings of the first site with the public sewage network
• - The main gate of the university in front of Sharia building
• - Paving the Movement Square / the second university site,
• - the classroom complex (intended to be implemented),
• - the indoor sports hall (intended to be implemented)
• - and many other projects, whether construction or otherwise, such as furniture for lecture halls or offices

We hope in the Department of Engineering to form an integrated engineering department that carries out design and supervision work without the need to seek the help of external parties and contribute to strengthening the role of the university through various buildings and projects to be a role model for the leading educational institutions in our beloved country.
