Department of Special Education

The Accounting Department was established at the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 and is considered one of the forefront departments that offered programs in the Faculty of Finance & Business, as the department began offering a bachelor's degree in accounting. Then, at the beginning of the academic year 2010-2011, it expanded its academic programs by offering postgraduate programs in two programs: a master's program in accounting, and a doctoral program in accounting. Based on this, the faculty’s mission and vision are to offer various specializations and programs and to reach the faculty’s position of leadership in academic and research work by providing academic and research services and the necessary expertise in all academic accounting programs. The accounting department at of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, is distinguished from other accounting departments in public and private universities by focusing on Islamic accounting in many of the department’s subjects, whether in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree, in line with the university’s mission.

Vision

The Accounting Department seeks to assume the leadership position at the level of accounting departments in Jordanian universities, and to be at the top of the ranking of accounting departments at the level of Jordanian universities and the Arab region. It is in line with the vision of the faculty of Finance and Business, emanating from the vision of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University and seeking to be a leader in the field of academic and research work.

Mission

Our mission is to to create an educational environment that enables students to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to practice the accounting profession, focusing on students' acquisition of professional ethics that would advance accounting work in the labor market through the preparation of academic and training programs that qualify students for various accounting jobs.

Objectives :

• • To qualify students scientifically and practically to work in various accounting fields and to equip them with high professional skills to meet the needs of the labor market.
• • Motivating students to be creative and research in the various fields of accounting
• • Serving the local community by providing training programs and various accounting consultancies for local community institutions.
• • Working to provide knowledge and appropriate training for students through partnership programs with the public and private sectors.
• • Enriching scientific production in the department by encouraging and supporting faculty members to participate in the preparation of scientific research, translation, and authorship in the various fields of accounting.
