The Department of Public Relations and Information was established with the inception of the university in 2008, and it represents the university's window on society and the link between the university and its internal community of faculty, administrative and student members, and the external community of various institutions and social segments. 

The department aims to achieve the good reputation of the university, and always highlight its bright image locally and globally, as the department coordinates with the colleges to prepare the necessary arrangements and equipment for conferences, seminars, celebrations, and university activities carried out by the university inside and outside the campus. 

The department supervises, coordinates, and communicates with all print and audio media, websites, and daily newspapers. The department monitors all news related to the university and the higher education sector in the Kingdom as well as issuing brochures introducing the university, and communicating with cultural and academic departments and institutions.        

Among the tasks of the department is to receive the university's guests from inside and outside the Kingdom, to prepare the necessary arrangements in a manner befitting its reputation and prestige, and to carry out the work of booking travel tickets for members of the faculty and administrative staff participating in international conferences, seminars and scientific meetings.  

The department also issues work and residence permits and visas for faculty members and students from all over the world.
