An apparatus was established at the university on 1/12/2009 at the level of a department named according to the financial system (the internal control apparatus). It is directly linked to the president of the university and a number of specialists work in it. The director of the apparatus is appointed by a decision of the president. The instructions for the apparatus were issued on 1/22/2015 according to the text of Article (40) of Financial Regulation No. (2) of 2013.

The Internal Audit and Control Department aims to ensure that the specific objectives have been achieved in accordance with the plans and policies drawn up, and to provide the president with information and data on what is happening on the ground for the purposes of tightening control, evaluation and accountability. In order to achieve this general goal, the apparatus undertakes the task of financial, administrative and technical control.
