Department of Special Education
In light of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University’s [WISE] vision to fulfill its core functions, and roles in education, scientific research, and community service, the Department of Special Education began offering its Academic programs in the first semester (fall) of the 2008/2009 academic year, acting a s a key contributor to the preparation of qualified national competencies. The department aims at providing distinguished education at the academic, professional, and educational levels, in alignment with labor market requirements, responsive to community needs, and consistent with contemporary developments and international standards

It aims to enhance students’ learning opportunities by providing a stimulating educational environment that blends theory and effective practice, grounded in high ethical standards and principles inspired by Islamic teachings.

Prepare qualified cadres who keep up with recent developments in knowledge, professional practice, research, and technology in special education
Conducting educational research across all areas in special education
Provide specialized consultations and raise community awareness in the field of special education
Qualify and train non specialized practitioners working in education to effectively support students with special needs
Offer necessary support and consultation to educational institutions with regards to special education
Establish and strengthen scientific partnerships with civil society institutions.
Contribute to the advancement of local and global knowledge in the field of special education.
Implement quality assurance systems to enhance the effectiveness of educational, research, and administrative performance, as well as community service.
Promote high standards of professional and ethical practice.
Equip students with a comprehensive and solid knowledge base in special education.
