نشأ قسم الفقه وأصوله متزامناً مع نشأة الكلية حيث يشمل البرامج الآتية: البكالوريوس، والماجستير، والدكتوراه في الفقه وأصوله،  والدكتوراه في القضاء الشرعي. وقد ضم القسم مجموعة من علماء الشرع الحنيف في برامجه المختلفة، مما ساهم في تبوء القسم مكانة علمية مرموقة بين نظرائه في مختلف الجامعات العربية والإسلامية، على الرغم من حداثة الجامعة، حتى غدا القسم –  بفضل الله تعالى-  محط أنظار طلبة العلم واهتمامهم، من أغلب الدول العربية والإسلامية .

Mission:

In line with the general objectives of the World Islamic Sciences & Education University, and the specific objectives of the Shaykh Nuh al-Qudah Faculty of Sharia and Law, the department's mission is summarized as follows:

• - The department works to be a distinguished center in the fields of Sharia education and scientific research. In response to the needs of the community according to programs that enhance the function of the university in achieving its mission.
• - Preparing qualified graduates with distinguished capabilities in the field of Islamic law, in addition to scientific research skills, and preparing academically qualified Staff, who are capable of performance .
• - Providing the local, Arab, and Islamic community with scholars, preachers, and researchers in the sciences and principles of jurisprudence.
• - Spreading moderate Islamic thought, and faithfully carrying its lofty message.
• - Preserving the vitality of Islamic jurisprudence by linking the jurisprudential heritage with contemporary reality.
