The medical department was established since the founding of the university, as it began to provide medical services to students and employees through clinical examination of patients, dispensing treatment for them, and providing first aid for emergency cases, including wounds, burns, fractures, etc., as well as checking blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and electrocardiograms for early detection of heart diseases and diabetes. It is now equipped with the latest medical devices, and under the supervision of a distinguished and specialized medical staff, in order to secure the necessary health care. The center is equipped with an ambulance, and there is an emergency department, and a central pharmacy, in addition to three emergency rooms equipped with all the necessary equipment and devices.

Primary health care has an important role in the early treatment of diseases in terms of diagnosis and treatment, and developed countries in this field give priority to health care because early diagnosis saves great effort on the patient first and has great positive repercussions on the financial cost in terms of the treatment bill and sick leave.

We are pleased to put in your hands the treatment instructions in the medical department that works to serve you. The medical department treats students at the university and outside it by contracting with hospitals throughout the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The university is keen on the health of its students, treating them and providing the necessary medicine for each case, whether it is inside the university or in the health center for emergency cases or outside the university in hospitals that are accredited to the university.

Students are treated as follows:

If the student is inside the university, they are treated in the medical department, where there is a full medical staff that performs treatment during the official working hours of the students. The student can visit the medical department, shows his university card, and the university's treatment card is issued and directed to the attending physician. The doctor examines and diagnoses him, then gives him the necessary prescription. The student turns to the university pharmacy and gets the prescribed medication from the university doctor. If the student’s condition requires a transfer, the medical department’s doctor will transfer him to the related hospitals, according to his health condition, through the form designated for this purpose. After working hours, the student can turn to the nearest accredited hospital for the university, where he submits the university ID to the hospital and follows the procedures for approval by the Medical Insurance Department. The student must be registered at the university and have paid his fees, and his name must be activated on the medical department system.
