A Brief About the Statistical Analysis Division:
The Statistical Analysis Division was established in the Deanship of Scientific Research at the World Islamic Sciences University in 2021 in line with the university’s goals derived from the objectives of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Foundation for Islamic Thought, which aims to advance research and studies that serve science and scholars in the Arab and Islamic societies, that is because scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and they must be empowered with all the tools and means that support their scientific and research career. Statistics has become one of the most important applied sciences that support the researcher in reaching conclusions and objective generalizations that are characterized by complete neutrality and lack of bias towards a prior opinion, and are not affected by any party. They are also based on realistic data that reflect the reality of the observed phenomena, and contribute to answering research questions and get results with the lowest percentage of error. This is the guarantee to achieve scientific addition and generate added value from studies and research.
The localization of the Statistical Analysis Division in the Deanship of Scientific Research came to coincide with the vision and mission of each of them, and to support the scientific research process with the best and most recent statistical methods used, to surround the modern scientific method with the quantitative and qualitative approaches. And according to what was mentioned in the narration, “He who learns arithmetic is well informed.” That is why the Statistical Analysis Division seeks to provide statistical services and research consultations to all scholars and researchers everywhere, starting from the Deanship of Scientific Research at the World Islamic Sciences University, this institution that was established to serve science and scholars, and in harmony with the tolerant values of Islam, and its Quranic directives in thinking and deliberation. We pray to the Almighty Allah that we reach the goal of perfection and the climax in improvement under the shadow of the Hashemite banner under the leadership of the Dean of the House , King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, may Allah protect him.
The Division is entrusted with the following tasks:
- Directing researchers towards the research priorities proposed by higher education.
- Proposing appropriate research methods for scientific research.
- Directing researchers to methods of preparing, designing or arbitrating data collection tools.
- Analyzing data using appropriate statistical packages and programs and clarifying the results of the analysis for researchers.
- Providing statistical analysis consultations in scientific research to national, Arab and international institutions.
- Implementing training programs and developing them in scientific research skills for researchers, graduate students, university professors, and research institutions and centers.
- Determining the training needs of researchers in the field of statistical analysis.
- Providing technical advice in the field of research design and data analysis.
