The Office of Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up / King Abdullah II Fund for Development was established at the World Islamic Sciences & Education University in 2010 based on the royal directives approving the King Abdullah II Fund for Development Law No. (81) for the year (2010), in order to operate as a non-governmental institution to be a link of communication between the student community, private and public sector institutions, and civil society organizations, as the Fund is regarded as an important institution which contributes to supporting social and educational efforts and development through providing technical advice and vocational and job guidance in the areas of human development, communication skills and ways to obtain job opportunities for university students.
Office goals
1- Providing assistance to students to obtain permanent or temporary job opportunities, through the national electronic portal, and providing professional advice through Foras portal.
2- Consolidating and promoting work values and ethics.
3- Providing support to students who applied for pilot projects.
4- Adopting student initiatives and providing logistical support.
5- Holding job fairs that are organized at different times of the year and linking students with companies and employers.
Office mechanism
1- The office also offers courses that give students skills before they enter the labor market.
2- Continuous communication with companies specialized in practical and training programs to find out the extent of their training needs and fields, and then the students are announced about the available opportunities.
3- Developing and enhancing the values of loyalty, belonging and participation in the available community volunteer work.
4- Using the national system for electronic operation in order to view the programs of the Ministry of Labor in the areas of employment and vocational guidance.
