Mission

A good voice is a blessing from Allah Almighty to man if he uses it in the right place and in the correct scientific way. There is no one more conducive to reverence than reciting the Qur'an and hearing it from those with good voices. The Almighty said: “O mountains, Echo his hymns! And the birds as well..” And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Beautify the Qur’an with your voices, A good voice increases the Qur’an in goodness.” Narrated by al-Darimi. He also said: “He is not one of us who does not sing the Qur’an.” Narrated by al-Bukhari. And he said: “Allah did not permit anything as He permitted a prophet with a good voice to sing aloud the Qur’an.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

The mission of the department is calling to the Qur'an by calling to learn the rules of its recitation and Tajweed, and to learn the rules of improving the sound with it, through the use of the rules of musicology and phonetic shrines and employing them for this noble purpose.

Moreover, man by his instinct tends to hear soft voices, so this department was established to graduate reciters, imams, muezzins and vocalists who are at a high level of performance on various occasions and events to bring happiness and reverence to the listeners.
