It includes two sections: Cultural and Artistic Activities Section and Sports Activities Section. The department undertakes the following tasks:
1. Developing talents, abilities, and inclinations in the areas of memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an, poetry, short stories, and theatrics, and in the fields of applied arts such as: drawing, calligraphy, handicrafts, photography, pottery, sculpture, and others.
2. Forming artistic teams of talented students, training them and refining their talents.
3. Holding celebrations of religious and national occasions and holidays, participating in these events that are held outside the university, and holding artistic and cultural exhibitions and competitions.
4. Organizing cultural days and seasons, and participating in artistic and cultural activities that are held in cooperation with universities and local units, which aim at consolidating pride in the message and universality of Islam, deepening belonging to the Islamic nation, and instilling tolerant and moderate religious values.
5. Developing sports training plans for university students, and providing the largest possible number of students with the opportunity to participate in sports training programs.
6. Forming, training and qualifying sports teams, and holding and participating in sports meetings and tournaments.
7. Developing an annual work plan for setting up student camps, including: volunteer work camps, recreational camps, training camps, sports camps, and Al Hassan Youth Award camps.
8. Participating in national parties and events held by the university.
