Introduction:

The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences has been established since the foundation of the Faculty of Finance and Business at the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009, in line with the importance of this specialization in the labor market, and the growing demand for graduates of the Finance and Banking major at the national level, especially in light of the increasing demand for financial and banking sciences from the Islamic point of view, after this sector has proven high efficiency in financing and investment at the local and international levels.

Vision

The department seeks to be a leader at the level of banking and financial sciences departments in Jordanian, regional, and international universities, in line with the vision of the faculty of Finance and Business stemming from the vision of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, and seeking to be a leader in the field of research and academic work.

Mission

Providing the local financial and banking institutions with human competencies qualified to deal with modern financial and banking tools and methods to raise the level of performance of these institutions as well as providing scientific, research, and investment services needed by these institutions in a way that contributes to serving the national economy and benefits from the experiences and skills accumulated by the faculty members in the department through the preparation of academic and training programs necessary for that.

Objectives :

• • Preparing scientific cadres specialized in financial and banking work to work in state institutions and the private sector.
• • Spreading a sound financial and banking culture locally and regionally through holding scientific courses, seminars, and conferences for various segments of society, as well as preparing specialized scientific studies in the field of financial and banking work.
• • Developing students' talents according to the latest developments in the financial markets and the banking world.
• • Contribute to finding solutions to problems affecting local, regional, and global financial and banking institutions.
• • Attracting qualified professors to contribute to the student's acquisition of modern theoretical and scientific knowledge in the field of specialization.
