Plagiarism and Artificial Intelligence Policy

Al-Meezan Journal for Islamic and Legal Studies adopts the following policy regarding plagiarism and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in submitted articles:

• • The maximum overall similarity index permitted in a submitted article is 20%.
  • The similarity attributed to any single source must not exceed 5%.
  • The maximum permitted proportion of AI-generated content in a submitted article is less than 20%.
  • The above limits do not apply to Qur’anic verses, Prophetic hadiths, legal texts, and judicial rulings.
  • If plagiarism or the use of AI is identified in violation of the journal’s policy, the article will be rejected without being sent for peer review.
